Who am I?

Hi I’m Cassandra Miller, photographer, storyteller, wife, woman and friend. I’m based on a property at the foot of the Great Dividing Range in the Scenic Rim. I have a love for big mountains and small moments and everything in between. Always curious and endeavouring to learn more I’m all about sharing experiences with people who are authentic, connected and fun. I have a good skill set that makes me comfortable and confident in my profession and life. I try to make good kind choices so that I can have a positive impact on the people I’m connected with both personally and professionally. I’m passionate about photography and the craft but more importantly about capturing beautiful connections and moments. I have a love for golden light, people who wear their heart on their sleeve and good food : all in equal measures. I smile a lot, laugh too loud and may just cry at your wedding when you’re not looking. When I’m not photographing you can find me on a horse, walking the dogs, on a bike, listening to music or my favourite wandering hand into the sunset with my love ( yes really I’m a long walks on the beach girl - possibly still in jeans with my boots in my hand though).

At the heart of it I’m a storyteller. Additionally I’m a professionally trained fine-art photographer with a degree in Journalism and photography . An experienced writer and press photographer, I’m skilled in all areas of photography including, weddings, family, lifestyle, content, fashion, sport, studio and architecture. I use professional gear and I am fully insured. I have been working full time as a photographer for more than half a decade and prior to establishing Incmill Photography worked in media. Although my love for dirt roads, golden light, open country and epic mountain vistas is an obsession that no amount of scenic rim sunsets will fill I am equally comfortable and experienced shooting knee deep in the ocean or navigating shoots in tight busy city streets. These skills paired with my creative eye and friendly nature mean I can document your day professionally yet still with a smile . Open eyes and an open heart allow me to be sensitive to individuals needs while also observant of the natural surroundings and prepped to capture moments as they unfold. I only want the best for you and your loved ones on you day and the by product of this is gorgeously styled professional yet emotive images delivered in a timely manner.

Why did I choose Photography?

People have always fascinated me . From the very beginning I remember sitting under kitchen tables listening to the gentle hum of adults conversing. Even at a young age the urge to record life somehow and share it with others has been a central element in life. This desire to capture life’s moments and present them in the way that could be understood and shared has blossomed into a career where the art form speaks louder than a thousand words - but don't be fooled I could probably find enough breath to discuss the merits of an image and it's meaning in many many more than those words.
